Our Leadership
Etienne Phaneuf
President & CEO
Etienne Phaneuf is an experienced executive at the intersection of technology and finance. He oversees the firm's culture and strategic direction; delivering cutting edge technological data and execution solutions tailored to client's needs.
Prior to joining ArchES, Etienne was CEO of ITG Canada, now Virtu-ITG Canada, a provider of electronic trading services, transaction cost analysis and trading software. Over the course of his 19 years at ITG, Etienne held a number of leadership roles, helping build ITG into the leading electronic trading provider to the institutional community.
Etienne holds a Bachelor of Mathematics from the University of Waterloo.
Paul Chow
Co-Founder, Director
Paul Chow is a professor in the faculty of The Edward S. Rogers Sr. Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Toronto where he holds the Dusan and Anne Miklas Chair in Engineering Design. Paul is a Fellow of the IEEE and a Fellow of the Engineering Institute of Canada. Paul's main research focuses on reconfigurable computing with an emphasis on programming models, middleware to support programming and portability, and scaling to large-scale, distributed FPGA deployments.

Chris Madill
Co-Founder, CTO
Chris Madill is the lead architect at ArchES. He is responsible for designing high-performance computing architectures, both in software and in hardware.
Prior to joining Arches, Chris worked at Cognos, Molecular Mining, and the Hospital for Sick Children.
Chris received a B.Sc in Computer Science and Biochemistry from Queen's University and a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of Toronto.
Kwong Ho
Co-Founder, Director
Kwong is the General Counsel at ArchES, responsible for overseeing all Arches' legal affairs.
Prior to co-founding ArchES, Kwong was the COO of Concord Idea, former COO of Concord Idea, Former Co-founder, President, and CEO of Digital V6.
Kwong holds a B.Sc. in Engineering Sciences, MBA from Rotman, and a JD from Western University.
Frank Keating
Head of Strategy & Corporate Development
Frank Keating is Head of Strategy and Corporate Development at ArchES, responsible for strategic growth planning, M&A, and business development efforts.
Prior to joining ArchES, Frank worked at TD Securities, focusing on alternative investment manager sales within the Prime Brokerage division. Before that, he was an Associate in the Electronic Trading team.
Frank holds a B.B.A. from the University of New Brunswick, majoring in Finance and received a certificate in Actuarial Science.
